Group Finance Manager - Denmark
Lead our global finance function as Group Finance Manager, driving high performance, standardised processes and strong governance across regions, with key accountability for Denmark and Germany.
Summary.
We are seeking a Group Finance Manager to take full responsibility for overseeing the global finance function. Acting as line manager for employees within the finance team, this role should ensure high performance, strong collaboration and consistent financial practices across all regions.
With specific accountability for financial operations in Denmark and Germany, the Group Finance Manager leads the day-to-day, reporting and statutory compliance for these key markets.
Working within a global environment, the Group Finance Manager will drive standardisation of financial processes, strengthen internal controls and provide analysis to support decision making. This role is critical in maintaining the company’s success and supporting growth.
Duties and Responsibilities.
• Provide day to day supervision, coaching and support to finance team members, conducting regular 1 to 1s, annual reviews and development planning
• Take responsibility for the overall resource management and workload prioritisation for the Finance Team
• Lead and support initiatives to enhance financial processes and optimise system performance
• Establish and maintain a clear cadence for all finance team activities, providing direction and oversight to ensure deadlines, quality standards and strategic priorities are met.
Denmark / Germany Specific
• Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable: Process supplier invoices and payments, manage customer invoicing and collections, perform credit control and maintain accurate aging reports
• Banking & Reconciliations: Daily cash management and bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow and ensure timely payments
• General Ledger & Journals: Post journals and maintain accurate ledger balances, month-end and year-end closing activities
• Tax & VAT Compliance: Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensure compliance with local tax regulations for both Denmark and Germany.
• Audit & External Relationships: Liaise with external auditors during statutory audits, preparation of audit reports
• Payroll & Expenses: Coordinate with external payroll provider for accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Process intercompany and IP transactions.
• Local HR Support: Act as point of contact for HR-related queries, coordinate with external HR service providers and central HR Function
Qualifications
• Higher Diploma in Accounting/Finance or similar Danish qualification
• 5+ years of experience in day-to-day accounting operations
• 3+ years proven people-management experience
• Solid background in AP, AR, banking, reconciliations, VAT, and tax compliance
• Experience preparing for audits and working with external payroll providers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or similar ERP)
• Strong Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting
• Fluent in Danish and English; German language skills are an advantage but not necessary

• Good communication skills for liaising with auditors and external providers
